Whether you’re a democrat, republican, green, independent, libertarian, or whatever: one thing must be accepted. Oil sales can fund terrorism. Don’t deny this.
If oil rich nations want to, they can fund mercenaries in other continents and hire them to attack the west. So, it is imperative that we move away from oil, and generate green technology and rely upon the researchers of our country. Is this protectionist? I hardly think so. And if it is protectionist, then yes, we’re protecting ourselves sensibly.
