thank you Mr. Rohrabacher

After watching representative speeches this whole morning, clearly there was a round of speech in the capital – equivalent in tone, to Russian flag burning, American style, over Crimea having voted for and subsequently joining the Russian Federation. It [the disdain] seems to have been picked up from exactly where the “Bloodhound Gang”, in concert, left off. It is evidently a case of sour grapes here among some representatives who probably haven’t even yet been communicated with, from their constituents. Among those representatives I reference, who are perhaps fond of the cold war of past, longing for such return to, they clearly resent the military success of Crimea’s course of being included with Russia. Today, in the US capital, sanction measures are being voted for in lock-step with president Obama’s vocalization in Brussels, in which he said that Russia must “pay the price”. These words unfortunately first came out of Ukraine and were echoed by Mr. Obama in his speech. Precisely such sanctions referenced by US leaders, have been spoken about all morning here, in Washington, as a direct result of some rattled few in Ukraine, post Crimean exit.

The honorable Mr. Rohrabacher today, was correct in pointing out that the Crimean events were not exemplary of a Communist regime of past, as led by “a despot” that needed to be “punished” and “face consequence” (I quote some of the other representatives in the US capital today). The US president assured Europe yesterday, that “it [EU] not need to fear another cold war.” Yet, too many representatives today, caused trouble here with their speech and posture. They said that America “speaks with a unified voice against Russia in condemnation and punishment.” That is not true. When did Washington poll the public on this? Hog wash to those who say this. Thanks for Mr. Rohrabacher who pointed out that former US military policy in the past in some Eastern Europe nations, differed in dynamic and fate from this situation. Russia is not forcing incorporation. This current condemnation of Russia is “not needed and is counter to our interest.” He [Mr. Rohrabacher] also suggested that we need not ignite such circumstance of decades ago. I agree and commend my representative. Crimea is, he said, “an example of self-determination” for a region loyal (by about 95% according to my sources) and attracted to the Russian Federation; the joining cost one or two deaths and by comparative history is a huge success. What business do we have disrupting that? None that is legitimate and productive for the Western nations. Now the rest of Ukraine is free to look westward as they so choose, and I [we] certainly don’t oppose our shared values with Europe. And, there’s enough evidence out of Europe that they have the intention to open up trade with us. So what’s all the fuss about? So, let’s stop the melodrama and rhetoric of saying that we must “save” the rest of Ukraine and all of Europe. Sanctions against Russia are not necessary. Europe (including Ukraine) will be able to open up to more sources of oil supply in relatively short time, thanks to EU initiative and leadership that the US should intend to support. Now, with the “keystone” pipeline, the so-called “choke hold” with regard to Russian oil oligarchs can now be economically competed with. Europe now even without sanctions, has far less of an energy threat today precisely due to the positive events. An opportunity is born. The fact is, that with Europe choosing to buy oil from more than just Russia, we’re all happy campers (or at least should be) if we’re not to be blind of the development. And Brussels so too has the right to decide just who it wishes to partner with in purchase of oil to Europe. So too has the USA, a tradition and history of purchasing from Russia and even unfriendly to the West regimes. So let’s not deny ourselves, or Europe, choice of oil partners.

The speakers today, with the exception of Mr. Rohrabacher, were more interested in vilifying Mr. Putin as a boogeyman, and undoing progress that was achieved in Europe… doing exactly the opposite of what the US president said today that we won’t be doing and need not fear – namely the stoking of yet another cold war. I can see first hand that those in the West who wish to be counterproductive people, have found an ally in Ms. Timoshenko, who verifiably has personal hatred for Mr. Putin. I recommend that you do your very best to teach her a gentle democracy, if that is at all possible, particularly if she runs for office in Ukraine. Shouldn’t the IMF alone be financing their development?

Only one of the representatives present to speak in the US today, had the complete understanding to acknowlege and express today that Crimea voted for inclusion with Russia. That is Mr. Rohrabacher. Did the others believe US viewers and listeners to be that poorly versed in history? Mr. Rohrabacher adequately represented California and the USA today. Moving forward, US leaders should suggest a desire to ask the EU how we [it] can help them as directed out of Brussels… to stabilize European finance, which in some parts still experiences extrememly challenging financial circumstances, if invited to and not presumed.

state corruption

News break:
According to Bloomberg news, California elected state officials are being charged with corruption crimes. This year there have been 3 charged they said.
They said that one of them was running hand gun importation into the state illegally.
Named Yee, he is (as was said by Bloomberg news this morning) “the 3rd state official to face criminal charges this year, and was intending to run for CA secretary of state”. He would have played critical influence with state election matters. One might think that as a gun friendly politician, he might be Republican. Guess again… Democrat.

response to Ed Royce

California-elected representative Ed Royce made his case to America, in speech today addressing the nation, that there are those “accountable for Vladimir Putin”. Specifically, he spoke of “unofficial persons”. Because of this, I wouldn’t be surprised if he would define that as “anyone” who is not concerned about Mr. Putin and thereby “orchestrating Mr. Putin’s strategy”. What a convenient strategy… to lay the groundwork with which to ram through policies based on paranoia that is. Since I do not order troops to advance or withdraw… as it is not my decision to make, this speech of his, sounded strangely and chilling familiar to me as a US citizen; a means of suppressing and disregarding any opinion that differs from the lawmaker(s) with regard to US strategy with the EU. In the US among us, such “all-encompassing” inflammatory talk resembles the similar device that was used by president Bush in the past. Although specific to terrorism in that case, the rhetoric was effective in silencing “anyone” who may have feared being gone after, defined as such a “sympathizer”; even if in truth, little more than someone who disagreed with the policy. If you were to poll Americans regarding every international political matter that US involves with, almost everyone would be a “sympathizer” to oppositional forces every single day whether you talk about Arab Israeli issues, European issues, or a host of domestic issues.
Such comment referenced, made by George Bush, was something to the effect of “you’re either with the terrorists or your with us”. Just to be clear here, in Mr. Royce’s speech today, Ed Royce from my state clearly stated this morning (paraphrased) that Vladimir “intends on moving in troops toward Georgia and other regions”. Further he said, “that we in the US have self-inflicted sanctions by not trading with Europe earlier.” Why the delay? We’re we waiting for Russia to invade Alaska? I think it’s quite clear that no American can be in lockstep with the many unwanted and unpopular motives of the government as opposed to the interests of common Americans.
In truth, trade with Europe stalled earlier, when the NSA affair caused reason to re-evaluate bilateral intentions. Is that Russia’s fault too? No, that however was unintended consequence and self-inflicted pain on part of America. Call it collateral damage on the self.

Also this morning broadcast, was a US Dakotan who asked a good question: “Why would our president allow the keystone pipeline to sit for months upon months, when he can authorize it now, and open up fuel trade, bi-atlantic?” He also pointed out that Canada has been ready to go with this pipeline. I applaud him.

What are the secret intentions with regard to US policy in Ukraine? Is the representative making the case, that war is imminent and unavoidable and required? Or, is he just interested in that, due to personal disliking of the president of the largest nation in the world, speaking from a frank dislike and disrespect for him that echoes Ms. Timoshenko sentiment?
Will it be suggested that conflict in Ukraine is welcomed by Ukraine? Will their vote to join Russia be disrespected? The last question has already been answered by todays and yesterdays events.
I find rhetoric from Mr. Royce and some other representatives like that of New York, to be unsubstantial and a way to quickly put down and define in a framework of language, exactly what should be considered disloyal Americans; the orchestration of Putin, from America. I have no appetite for adventures against the largest nation in the world. It’s tough enough trying to figure the motives and behaviors that is America at the end of each day. Trying to bring down my own country is not on my agenda any more than it is Russias in my view. Those of us who want to live without complications further, count on politicians not to turn on us – and we count on them to be very specific about just who they’re accusing of military comanding. Rather, it is to (as difficult as it might be for you) reflect the true opinions of all you are elected to represent, who have no beef in America with Russia.

US delivered Brussels speech

Big talk and veiled threat was heard from the US president in Brussels this week.

A so-called “change of course” that the US president speak of in Brussels
today, that he stipulate to Russian president V. Putin, translates (in clear text) to something of this sort:
in my own words- “If I get insecure enough, I’ll call on NATO to threaten regional stability in Europe.
And we all know you don’t want that… wink, wink”. Truth we all know: Europe doesn’t want that, and America does not need that anymore than Europe.

Since I am American, I can see that there are really very few people in America who seriously wish to impose sanctions or “isolate” more nations (or the same ones we always do) for increasingly longer periods of time. In doing so, I testify that we have isolated ourselves. And no one in the public streets or discourse calls upon our president to do so.
That attitude hurts us financially and it’s unfortunate how easily our leaders go that route on our “behalf”:
Very few people in America are crazy enough to really want war against Russia. So, if it happens, remember back, and be assured it would not be reflective / in accordance with popular American opinion 2014.
Americans would be far more in favor of the economic ties with Europe, based not as heavily so much on north Atlantic militarism, rather on economic free trade that has been stalling (all be it not all at US blame) but
curiously lagging.

Maybe it’s a time not to talk so big about military power. It seems we can move forward in a positive direction now that all powers have stated their warnings and threats, wink wink. Hopefully staring contests won’t be required as the common citizens like me wish to get on with this and move forward – with hopes and dreams that traverse the Atlantic.

Californians in fear (part 2)

While use of our freedom to speak is always critical for freedom and to countering the before-mentioned assault with politicians’ property tax goals, how our legislators choose to vote on these items will be seen and accounted. Names will be published and distributed as to how each member voted, and we will remove those from office accordingly, by vote.

Why do so many Californians live in fear?

In this post… addressed to our California state governor Brown, and to fellow states’ people, details that I have are becoming known to many of us (through personal family experience first-hand, and through private letters mailed throughout our state), that California legislators at the capital in Sacramento are obsessively taking aim at property owners and renters; launching repeated assaults against the most vulnerable and “cheap” potential revenue sources – that is private and public property use. Property is each individual and family’s most treasured asset. Small businesses can’t do without it, people can’t adequately live under roof without it, and enterprising people so too, are being punished by revenue raid attempts. Hands off! Do politicians have to be reminded not to put their hands all over us? Evidently they do need reminding.

Even completely paid-off homes continue to be taxed until death and beyond. Why would you plot to do such a thing to your own people when you know we cannot afford and while other revenue sources legitimately exist? No employer will be able to provide raises to the compensation level that a worker will require, with which you plot to raise taxes to. And any dumb person who thinks otherwise can gladly pay that tax for me, but not require others to. We have figures.

You leaders seem to have convinced dumb people these taxes won’t affect them, and that the money will be “given back to them” through programs, incentives, and other such cash schemes. Now, naive they seem to be. Not only naive, but complicit with THEFT against property owners & renters and THEFT against them too (as they remain renters, remain increasingly poor, and end up potentially incarcerated because of financial problems). Need be, later we remind the ignorant, that they willingly supported tax increases on property, supported the raid against them at the hands of “the tax and spenders”, and they will learn to regret their playing into their hand. There will be no sympathy for their resignation to tom-foolery.Meanwhile, today, we are to be convinced that we need more police? That we should be more concerned about a seasonal drought, than about the forcing of more and more families into lifelong abject poverty? We’re told that there are more wealthier families per capita, in California today, than there was 5-10 years ago? Big deal. A drop in the bucket. All this, while only some increase of families’ profit occurs as the majority rest declines? What would you do with us then? Would that really make you feel good? I fear it might, trying to figure out any reasonable rationale of why legislators in the state capitol today are pretending to have no other source of revenue now. What you seem to perceive as perhaps your ungrateful and disloyal “subjects”, by hitting us where we are most vulnerable (as property owners with high enough tax already), we remind you that California was one of the hardest hit regions after the housing crisis emerged years ago. How do you think we can now say today, that we are even so much as partially free from such burden? And you want to increase the load on our backs? Shame.

We’re even led to believe now, that the economic crisis is over; that we can afford to tax and spend wildly, even more so than in the days of past. But we residents who are a little wiser, know just how precarious a situation we are still in. Our radio ads seem to suggest that the impact of the 14 year + crisis is somehow a thing of the past. With voice actors who are portrayed as having moved beyond the plight, so portrayed as the most blindly optimistic among the minority and impoverished in our state. true there were worse times in recent past than we might feel at this moment, but it will all be short-lived if you get your way “tax and spenders”. I remind you that this housing bubble burst due to malfeasance; and it threw many people under the bus. It reminds me that you need to take this time to sufficiently earn back the people’s trust; that no, you are not entitled to delude that your people are ungrateful or unfairly demanding. We’ve engaged in the most civil “civil disobedience” with courage and valor. And California has helped places all over the world – at our citizens’ expense. You are not going to tap us for your “pirate booty” via such tax increases.

Don’t forget – California legislators did NOT sufficiently protect us from the housing bubble burst. Even if homeowners were even meager so reticent to accept virtually “no-money down” mortgage acquisition, the system was wrong and framed in a poor way from its inception. I’d like to remind you and your like-minded legislators, that vendetta now, against home owners is disgusting, a betrayal, and a tolerance for Federal mismanagement. Not to forget, totally insensitive.

There are ways of increasing revenue that require a bit more creativity – and discipline, as you would like your legislative image to be accepted and viewed as by us. You’ve had adequate time to determine what this would be and so too should you refrain from tightening your vice on Californians… who already (as it is) have higher property taxes than many other elite dwelling places around the world (tax in proportion to value by ratio). Many of these places are widely considered more desirable and more expensive than most of California. Yet, it seems still, you might very well intend to double or even triple our property taxes today. And renters, I warn you… do not feel that you will be expempt from the pain. Some of you legislators who don’t value our tax traditions, you probably would have already thrown us all under the next bus, if no one were standing in your and your like-minded legisltors’ way. We know now that those of you who vote to do this in our chambers, have your agenda ready, over and over again… that you use every time you think that we’ve backed down. We know that you use tax funded time in the chambers, to scheme and undermine the thousands upon thousands of petitions which you receive, telling you NO. You should feel shame for “representing” the people in such way and for even thinking about putting such ballot measures forward that are not even put forward by the public at large. What exactly do you want us all to do?

I recommend that you change your minds about voting in support of property tax increases.

Amazing

I would like to caution those who might have insecurities, with regard to the Crimean events that quite miraculously unfolded. It would be unwise to make claims that the events of recent days and weeks were somehow unproductive for all parties. Listen very carefully and don’t misconstrue or give false testimony to support your view. If you have to, see if in fact the skepticism you might have now, really has validity. Why do I say this? Because this looks like a win-win situation and a no spoiler alert is critical; and prompts me to reject such potential doubt as to the success achieved for a region that likely would have continued to find protest and violence among the large chasm between citizens within the former territory that existed before.
